Clarifications

If you choose the role of Speaker (in projects 4 and 5) you may present a manual speech and receive credit for it. This is the only circumstance in which a member receives double credit for the same work. You will receive credits for the CL manual and the CC or AC manual simultaneously.

In project 10, where the manual says '…serving as both Toastmaster and General Evaluator over the course of several club meetings …' it means 'serving as Toastmaster at one meeting and General Evaluator at another meeting'. (This wording appears only in early versions of the manual.)

'Help to Organize a Club Membership Campaign or Contest' and 'Membership Campaign or Contest Chairman' refer only to membership campaigns and membership contests, not to speech contests.

The Competent Leader award is recognition of a member's accomplishments within the Club environment. Activities for the Area, Division or District cannot be counted for CL projects.
