An insurance policy is in place with Toastmasters International providing cover at educational meetings - i.e. normal meetings, competitions etc. but not social occasions. Your usual meeting venue is automatically covered but if the club holds a meeting elsewhere (for example, an awards dinner) you need to apply additionally to TI for cover.
The limits are: General Liability (each occurrence) - $1,000,000
Damage to rented premises (each occurrence) - $50,000
Medical Expenses (any one person) - $10,000
Personal Injury - $1,000,000
General Aggregate - $1,000,000
Products - $1,000,000
If you would like further information about this policy, or need cover for a special occasion, please contact Karen Williams at kwilliams@toastmasters.org
Karen can also send an Insurance Certificate for your club if you provide her with the following information:
1. Name and full address of the venue to be insured
2. Your name, email address, postal address and telephone number
3. The Club name, number and District
4. Any other special information you require on the certificate
5. Your fax number if you would like the certificate to be faxed
Coverage does not extend to pre-charter clubs. |
